Rachel Likely-Hogg
Vice Chair
Hi! My name is Rachel Likely-Hogg, and I am a dedicated advocate and co-founder of the Down Syndrome Association of Northumberland.
With 27 years of marriage and three children, I am currently balancing family life with my professional role as a Mortgage Broker and Partner in a thriving Mortgage Brokerage serving Durham and Northumberland. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, attending local restaurants, and travelling.
My passion for creating this association stems from my deep love and admiration for my brother, Tim, who was born with Down Syndrome. I am committed to supporting individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. I have spent almost my whole life advocating for compassion and advocacy within the Down Syndrome community.
I have been an active community member, and have volunteered with several notable charities, including the Canadian Cancer Society the Starlight Children’s Foundation, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. I have also made meaningful contributions to local schools, serving as chair of the School Community Councils, and was an active volunteer with the school's SCC when my children were young. Through my work with the association, I will continue to empower families, celebrate diversity, and foster inclusion within the Northumberland community.
Life's true wealth lies in inclusion, kindness, and the simple act of paying it forward. When we are present for one another, we create a world where everyone belongs!
